Rust‑converting primer‑finish coating

Two‑component epoxy putty that permits painting on incompletely prepared surfaces. It is used for repair painting and in conditions where high‑quality surface preparation cannot be ensured.

epoxysurface tolerantlight gray red‑brown

Two‑component epoxy putty with aluminum pigment, forming a protective coating in the color “Aluminum Grey”. It can be applied to partially prepared surfaces and exhibits high tolerance to insufficient surface preparation (remaining rust and old coatings). It is used for repair painting and in conditions where high‑quality surface preparation cannot be ensured. The aluminum pigment enhances the coating’s barrier properties and provides additional protection against moisture and corrosion.

FAQ

Applying paint directly onto rust significantly reduces the coating's protection duration. Surface preparation quality influences the outcome of the entire painting process by up to 80%. Service life can vary by up to tenfold depending on surface preparation.

If oil contamination is present on the surface before painting, all coatings will adhere equally poorly to the surface. If there is no oil on the surface, but only tightly adhered scale or slight reddish discoloration, two‑component materials will provide a higher level of protection. In any case, we recommend thoroughly preparing the surfaces before painting.

Materials with a high zinc powder content may be applied only to a thoroughly prepared surface. Abrasive blast preparation (sandblasting) is an ideal preparation method. Coatings with a high zinc content have extremely low adhesion to rust.
